Asami Konno (紺野あさ美, Konno Asami?) (born May 7, 1987, Hokkaido, Japan) joined the J-Pop group Morning Musume as a member of the fifth generation along with Ai Takahashi, Risa Niigaki and Makoto Ogawa. Although her performance in the LOVE Audition 21 (LOVEオーディション 21, LOVE Audition 21?) has been called mediocre even by the judge of the audition and manager of Morning Musume Tsunku, Tsunku said that she passed the audition because of her potential and the amount of effort she put into it.

She is considered to be one of the most intelligent members after her winning performance on a TV show to see who is the "stupid girl" of Morning Musume.
