Kaori Mochida (持田 香織, Mochida Kaori?), born March 24, 1978 in Tokyo, Japan, is the female lead singer of Every Little Thing, a Japanese pop group.
Mochida was a child actress, appearing in child magazines and TV spots.
Using the stage name of 持田かおり (with Kaori written in hiragana) the little girl sang with a girl band called The Kuro Buta All-Stars (黒BUTAオールスターズ, The Kuro Buta All-Stars?), a group similar to Morning Musume; Mochida had the strongest voice. They changed their name to Kuro Buta Tengoku (黒BUTA天国, Kuro Buta Tengoku?). The band released only one CD titled Mou Ichido, which did not make the charts.
Mochida left the band to focus on her studies. When she finished school, Kaori decided that she wanted to become a professional singer, and recorded a demo cassette which she sent to record labels. She was signed to label Avex Trax.
