Tang Wei is a Chinese actress. She rose to prominence for her appearance in Lust, Caution. Tang Wei was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang as the only child of a former stage actress and painter. In an interview, she revealed that she often traveled around China and eventually learned to paint, adding that she was influenced by her parents. Tang Wei graduated from a local vocational high school in her hometown in 1996, where her teachers described her as "athletic" and a "good student who always did her homework". She had no plans to become famous; she originally aspired to become an archaeologist or lawyer.[3] Tang made the decision to enter the entertainment industry after doing some modeling in 1997. She graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 2002.

Faye Wong (王菲) (born August 8, 1969) is a Chinese singer, songwriter, actress and model. In Greater China, where she is an immensely popular icon, the Chinese word for diva (Chinese: 天后; pinyin: tiānhòu; Jyutping: tin1hau6; literally "Heavenly Queen") often precedes her name in the press. She is also famous in Japan, parts of Southeast Asia and to some extent in the West.

Originally from Beijing, Wong started her career in 1989 in Hong Kong, rising to fame in the early 1990s. According to Guinness World Records, as of March 2000 her albums had sold 9.7 million copies in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, giving her the title of Best Selling Canto-Pop Female. She sings in both Mandarin and Cantonese, and has also released songs in Japanese and English (such as the Final Fantasy VIII theme "Eyes on Me").
